Sunday 26th was chariot festival @ Sri Srinivasa Temple in the LIC Colony. God-Idol went on the chariot from Srinivasa temple to Narasimha temple and back.  It was a fantastic decorated chariot,.

International Women's day celeberations

As part of  International  Women's day celeberations, LCH Residents Association organised free medical check up for women.  A team of Lady Doctors from Mayya Nursing Home extended free service to our  Women

Dance by Ramana Maharshi academy for visually impaired,

Little children from Ramana Maharshi  academy  for visually impaired, presented a Dance program, organised by LCH Residents Welfare Association at LIC Park Chiguru Mantapa. 

The talent exhibited by the Blind children was highly appreciated by one and all. Our MLA and Corporator cancelled all  their  engagements  and enjoyed  the full program

Republic day celebrations

As like every year this year too, Republic day celebrations were observed at the LIC colony park. Our BBMP representative Nagaraju was present.  Prior to the celebrations there was lot of preparation, like competition for boys/girls/women and men were conducted.

Winners were presented with gifts.

Also, our beloved resident U J Kamath was felicitated for all the good work he has done. He is moving out of the LIC Colony and he is planning to relocate to Udupi.

I have tried their dishes and found to be good, why don't you too try it once.

65th Independence Day celebrations…

LCH residents observed the celebrations of the 65^th Independence day at the LIC colony park, which is the focal point for gathering. All the residents started gathering around the flag post around 8:30AM as the association believes in keeping the schedules on time...

Few kids came with flags to show the solidarity ….

On  time flag was hoisted by our corporator Mr. Nagaraju as you can see it here.. 

One of the important guests who came to flag hoisting ceremony is a senior resident who is also a freedom fighter.

After flag hoisting patriotic songs were sung and few kids came in the traditional dress which was looking great.

Arranged bottles at MORE 4th block

Look at the bottles arranged in 4th block M O R E shop. Not able to find the uniqueness of this shop compared with other superstores. But the arrangement of bottles is good  to see.

The different powders like chutney powder, spicy powders are arranged in big bottles again :)

No Rains this Year….

Its already June 28^th, hitting towards July. Till today there are no signs of monsoon hitting Bangalore.  As you can scroll down and see the blog last year by April 24^th, I was giving safety tips for walkers.  But this time it’s pretty dry.  

Even though evenings are relatively cooler but there are no signs of Rain.

Met Dept says there are still chances… So, this year if it rains it will be a good test for the rain water harvesting that is being done across the LIC Colony.

Let’s hope that Rain will come and help us on our water requirements for entire year.

Shivrathri Festival was observed on this Monday (20th Feb)

Shivrathri festival was observed in the LIC colony on this Monday and all the Shiva temples in around were decorated to their best.  Every temple was overflowing with devotees.
